Despite being dealt the unlucky motion sickness card, something about flying intrigued me. But from age 16, with every year that passed and additional flight I had under my belt I seemed to become an increasingly anxious flyer - to the point that my stomach feels knotted, I go terribly quiet and feel awfully claustrophobic. Although as time passes after each flight, I forget these waves of uneasy feelings and book my next overseas or interstate holiday.
Well I've gone and done it again - I've booked flights to London with my husband and this time we have seven connecting flights within Europe... and my lucky husband gets to sit next to me for the initial 22 hour journey!
But as much as I dread these flights I've come to realise that travelling is all-encompassing; it's the whole experience; all the elements combined. It's not only about the places you at your destination but it includes all the small and large facets that makes travel a journey.
So, here we go!
