Barcelona: Day 2

Today we took a trip to candy land. Well, we actually checked out Gaudí's architecture but it's not far from confectionary! You just have to look at Sagrada Famila and it's fruit inspired steeple tops.

We sat in the park to admire the building from a different angle and spotted three high nosed women spying on passers by... and us. A perfect photo opportunity don't you think?

Meanwhile the sun glistened through the trees and music once again set the scene as a medieval flute played across from us.

We left the music behind for an uphill hike to Parc Güel, another of Gaudí's colourful creations.

Just as I started wondering where all the tourists were, we found them! A great little spot for people watching.

I told you it looks like candy land!

But if people watching is not your thing, then the mosaics are a sight to see!

Our view from the top!

Did I mention the stunning gardens?

We journeyed back down a loooong street.

Someone got creative with their garage door...

We took in a few more sights and architectural delicacies.

Tomorrow we swap Barcelona for Pisa. And we can't leave Spain without having polished off a seafood paella - so you can guess what we had for dinner... yumm!
