Santorini: Day 3

This morning Santorini was covered in a dense cloud of ash grey humidity. As we were tucking into out breakfast On our front orch, our hotel patrons advised it would soon lift - much to Shaun's delight! This much anticipated day had finally arrived for him... He was going scuba diving.

He's still an hour or so away from being dropped back at the hotel so I've stationed myself at a cafe with a jaw dropping view of the Caldera, draped in her turquoise blue Agean waters with her salty perfume carried in the wind.

I've ordered myself a filter coffee with milk and a Baklava and right now I feel like the cat that got the cream!

After Shaun left I got dressed with my favourite tunes playing in the background. Right now if my life was accompanied by a song it would be to Imagine Dragons, On Top of the World... Being in Santorini feels like the top of the world so I think it's pretty fitting!

Moisturised and clothed with long sleeves to protect my arms from glowing a deeper shade of pink, I was about to duck out the front door when something caught my eye. Look who I spotted! My favourite little guy.

He'd camped out on our back porch couch the night before with his brothers and was looking more than a little peckish! He and I have come to an understanding, he gives me this cute look with his big eyes and I feed him his and my favourite tree fruit - mulberries.

His mum kept a watchful eye nearby as his brothers were suckling.

But soon enough she came sauntering over, checked me out and hissed once - so I took it as my cue to leave.

This morning was time to do a spot of shopping for our loved ones. Having toured the lane ways with Shaun on Sunday I knew exactly where I wanted to go. I was on a mission! Sorry no photos... I don't want to give anything away. I may have also purchased a little something something for myself along the way.

A few hours and moments of indecision later I wound up here in front of this captivating view. Sipping my second cup of coffee and having almost polished off a whole Baklava all by myself - I think I may just sit back and soak up the atmosphere...
