Count Luigi gave Shaun a few pointers on some must sees in Tuscany before arriving in Sorrento (I took some last photos) so with our passing destinations pinned on our iPhone's Google maps we were off!
The country side is serenely beautiful.
Red poppies litter the fields.
Now I know the true meaning of the term rolling hills!
We drove past Montelcino which held breathtaking views.
And stopped in Pienza for lunch.
I had a delicious Ravioli with bolognese sauce while Shaun opted for his favourite food - Pizza!
Finished off with some warm bread.
And headed off toward Montepulciano.
This one's for Tim! We saw plenty of cyclists along the road... You'll feel right at home!
And of course saw plenty of rolled hay bales... We received a true Tuscan send off!
Just over five hours later we arrived in Sorrento! And we thought Tuscan-Italian drivers were crazy... those from Naples are even crazier!!
We checked into our B&B and took a stroll to the cliffs. Amazing!
We stood there for a while soaking up the view and late evening sun. Positano in the morning...
